I agree with the author of the article, which follows - that the main reason the world is in such a financial mess is that most of us have lost our awareness of who we really are as spiritual beings. However I know from my own personal experience that we do have the ability to see the future - if we put into practice some of the ideas that appear in posts on this blog. Anyway here is the article:
Formula Of A Bad Economic Decision Making --by VMT Singuillo
Many of us may wonder today, what went wrong why we are in such an economic mess today? Were there other factors to blame other than ourselves? Or did we make a bad decision making process?
It is simply unbelievable to think that most people today who are well educated can make bad decisions. Or did we? But how can it be despite the existence of well sounded seminars and trainings that are available today in our country?
During the trend of rising housing boom from the period 2002 to 2006, most people may have thought that this is the best chance to make money in real estate. As intelligent beings, we tried to study trends and fact patterns before we come up with a decision, don't we? We even seek the advice of so-called knowledgeable experts and advisors, right?
When we were living during that period, many families have embraced the idea that when we buy a house now, after two years or somewhere in the future, we can make money through the equity of the home due to the rising value of real estate. Was that a sound idea during that time? Indeed, there were people who became rich during this period through real estate.
But how can it be that we made a bad decision? Today, there are millions of families of have lost their homes to foreclosures. Did all these families made bad decisions for themselves? Did they fail to study trends or seek the advice of the "experts?"
On the other hand, can trends be 100 percent reliable then? Should it play a major role in our decision making for the future? The problem is, we really do not know what is going to happen in the future. Are we going to be sick a few years from now? We don't know. Can we say our jobs are secure in the company that we think is stable enough?
However, before we made major decisions in our lives, did we seek the guidance of the All-Knowing being up there? Did we ask God to play a role in our decisions? If not, then we may be in a formula of making a bad decision for ourselves.
There is a Christian song that says, "I don't about tomorrow. I just live from day to day." Let us simply be reminded that it is only God who can clearly see the future. It is only He who knows what tomorrow may bring.
It is therefore a wise decision to seek God's guidance first before we make our own "wise" decisions. I have learned my own lessons well of what I've gone through. How about you?
Th Holy Bible says in Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
